Comparing and Contrasting Barron and Nesmith to other Promotion Candidates
INTRODUCTION
Evaluating Barron's and Nesmith's tenure/promotion creative accomplishments in isolation here on this website would be misleading, because there is nothing with which to compare them. How can I argue that their off-campus professional accomplishments were insubstantial without comparing and contrasting them to other promotion to full professor candidates.
I will therefore compare and contrast the creative accomplishments in Barron's, and Nesmith's promotion dossier with the productions and publications that appeared in my 2009 promotion cv that earned me the rank of full professor.
COMPARE AND CONTRAST
NOTE: My professional accomplishments were limited to only a 5-year window because CCNY was on different timeline when I was Promoted/tenured.
Barron therefore had two additional years in which to complete his outside creative projects because his promotion had the longer 7 years window.
I don’t remember if Nesmith was on the 5-year or 7-year track when he was promoted to full professor in 2012.
